Film Screening “13 Square Meters”

The 15-minute short documentary takes a provocative look at the significance of emergency shelters today, using the example of Berlin’s “Tempohomes” for refugees. Based on the research project “Architectures of Asylum” by the TU Berlin, the film questions how residents (can) redesign the living containers and make them their own.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers Dr. Ayham Dalal and Kamil Bembnista and Dr. Shahd Seethaler-Wari from the State Office for Refugee Affairs. Moderation: Dr. René Kreichauf.

When: August 11, 2021, 8:30 p.m.
Where: At the exhibition ZU/FLUCHT, at Anhalter Bahnhof, behind the portal (Askanischer Platz, 10963 Berlin).
