Support of Early-Career Researchers

PhD students and post-doctoral researchers play a decisive role within the CRC 1265. Creating efficient structures to support early-career researchers from day one is essential for the promotion of scientific qualification and independent academic work. Stable working conditions and environments are crucial if qualification objectives are to be met. Apart from academic training schemes targeted to individual needs and qualification objectives, our development programme for young researchers also focuses on strong international networking and early scientific autonomy.

The following instruments will help to prepare PhD researchers for a future career within and outside of the university:

• Integrated research training group (MGK= Modul Graduiertenkolleg)
• Targeted support of post-graduate researchers
• Integration of early-career researchers in all managing, governing and decision-making bodies within the CRC
